Attracting High-Quality Information Technology Personnel to Meet the Training Needs of the College of Technology at National Economics University
On December 18, 2023, the University Council of National Economics University (NEU) issued a Resolution establishing the College of Technology.
The College of Technology was established with the goal of becoming a pioneering unit and a national leader in education, research, and the transfer of new technologies applied to economics, management, and business. Its guiding principle is to master technology through initiative, creativity, vision, and decisiveness.
Within five years, the College aims to rank among the top three institutions nationwide in research and education in disciplines related to artificial intelligence and data science. The main assessment criteria are international publications, the quality of incoming students, top prizes in national and international Informatics Olympiad programming competitions, and graduate employment positions.

The College aims to help maintain and strengthen NEU’s position as one of Vietnam’s leading universities by building on NEU’s traditional strengths and effectively combining them with new resources. It also aims to build a team of leading scientists in technology with a strong reputation for international research publications and the capacity to advise businesses and organizations on digital transformation and the application of smart technologies, AI technology, and blockchain in management and business administration.
The College aims to revamp its academic disciplines and teaching methods to create a supportive learning environment that brings out the best qualities of each individual learner.

With the size and quality of its current teaching staff, the College of Technology will be well equipped to meet the requirements and tasks set in the current context. In the coming period, the University will continue to attract and develop personnel through the following approaches:
First, continue training and professional development for current teaching staff, sending lecturers to short-term training courses in their respective disciplines at the world’s leading universities, with approximately 20–30 lecturers in each cohort;
Second, continue recruiting new lecturers who meet NEU’s demanding requirements and international standards, in line with the University’s development strategy;
Third, improve facilities and compensation and benefits to motivate current staff while attracting talented individuals from Vietnam and abroad to teach at the University.
