Discontinuation of the credit program for students from disadvantaged families to purchase computers for online learning

Previously, eligible borrowers under this program included:

– School students at all levels attending educational institutions within the national education system as prescribed by the Law on Education who met the conditions set out in Decision 09/2022/QĐ-TTg;

– Students attending universities (or equivalent institutions), colleges, intermediate schools, and vocational education centers established and operating in accordance with the laws of Vietnam who met the conditions set out in Decision 09/2022/QĐ-TTg.

For credit agreements signed before the effective date of Decision 02/2024/QĐ-TTg:

– The Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, borrowers, and related parties shall continue to comply with the provisions of the signed credit agreements.

– The Vietnam Bank for Social Policies shall continue to monitor and manage debt recovery and handle transactions arising in connection with borrowers’ debts in accordance with current laws applicable to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of Government agencies, chairpersons of the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally administered cities, and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and the General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies are responsible for implementing Decision 02/2024/QĐ-TTg.
