Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, said that over nearly 70 years of development, NEU has maintained its position as one of Vietnam’s largest centers for education and professional development for personnel in economic management and business administration. The University has educated generations of formally trained, dynamic managers who readily adapt to the market economy and can adopt new technologies. To date, the University has produced hundreds of thousands of bachelor’s graduates, 17,000 master’s graduates, and approximately 1,700 doctoral graduates…
Many of the University’s graduates currently hold important positions in Party bodies, the National Assembly, the Government, and businesses. In addition, the University collaborates on research with numerous universities, research institutes, and international organizations.
By 2030, NEU aims to become a fully autonomous university that pioneers digital transformation, has a modern, smart, and professional governance system, and ranks highly in international rankings.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong emphasized that the University’s development strategy for the coming years is to continue maintaining and affirming the quality of its education, guided by the philosophy of “creating smart pathways for everyone to become the best version of themselves.” “When you become learners and students at the University, the three goals you need to achieve are acquiring knowledge, developing skills, and building your capacity for autonomy and personal responsibility. NEU is one of the universities that can help you develop and strengthen these qualities,” affirmed Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU.

Currently, NEU’s master’s academic programs offer two tracks: research-oriented and application-oriented. With advanced, up-to-date curricula, these programs aim to strengthen interdisciplinary and specialized theoretical knowledge and the application of new knowledge, enabling learners to take command of their work and address issues arising in their professional practice.
Notably, in 2020, NEU officially introduced Blended learning for its master’s programs. This modern mode of education combines online and classroom instruction with a comprehensive electronic learning resource system, incorporating up-to-date, advanced academic programs developed at many leading universities worldwide. In addition, the postgraduate education management system is equipped with modern software applications to facilitate fast, convenient interaction between learners and the University.
NEU currently admits students to and provides master’s education in 20 fields through 40 academic programs, including 15 fields with 35 application-oriented academic programs and five fields with five research-oriented academic programs. Full-time master’s programs last 20 months, while part-time master’s programs for working learners last 24 months, including time for coursework and for writing and defending the master’s thesis or graduation project.
