Key points for applicants to university programs and college programs in early childhood education
On April 26, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued Official Letter 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH providing guidance on admissions to university programs and college programs in early childhood education.
Applicants to university programs and college programs in early childhood education should note the following:
– Carefully review institutions’ admissions information in their admissions plans and admissions regulations; register for admission review on the institutions’ admissions portals in accordance with their requirements concerning criteria, eligibility, application documents, procedures, and application periods. Applicants must register all their application preferences on MOET’s Common Admissions Portal or the National Public Service Portal. Applicants must not register preferences for majors or academic programs for which they do not meet the admission review requirements.
– Declare and provide complete and accurate information when applying to institutions.
– When registering for the 2024 national high school graduation exam, declare information accurately and truthfully, and take responsibility for the information provided, including the relevant dates specified in the guidance, to claim regional or applicant-category priority benefits, if applicable. Submit supporting documents for priority categories, if applicable, as instructed in Appendix VIII issued with Official Letter 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH.
The competent authorities will check and verify applicants’ declared permanent residence information for different periods against the population database.
– Applicants registering for direct admission or priority admission review under MOET’s Admissions Regulations must submit their direct admission and priority admission review applications to institutions before 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2024, using the forms in Appendices III and IV issued with Official Letter 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH, in accordance with the institutions’ guidance. There is no limit on the number of application preferences.
– Following the guidance of their Department of Education and Training, applicants must use their assigned accounts to review their high school academic results (transcripts) on the Common Admissions Support System (the System) and report any errors to the responsible teachers at their high schools for correction. This process must be completed no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2024.
– Applicants who have graduated from high school or intermediate-level programs (independent applicants) and wish to register for admission review but have not registered their personal information on the System must submit a registration form between July 1 and July 20, 2024, to obtain an account for registering admission preferences.
– Registration and processing of application preferences
– Enrollment confirmation
– From August 28, 2024, to December 2024, applicants wishing to participate in institutions’ supplementary admission review rounds must follow the admissions plans published on the institutions’ admissions websites, if the institutions conduct supplementary admission reviews.
Applicants who have been admitted and have confirmed their enrollment are not eligible for supplementary admission review, except where the head of the institution permits them not to enroll.
– Applicants must submit supporting documents for admission review at the institutions, following the institutions’ instructions on submission times and locations.
– Applicants applying for admission review involving aptitude tests, including those using aptitude test scores from another institution, must contact the institution to register for and take the test or submit their aptitude test scores.
