Briefing and Training Conference on Admissions Counseling for Full-Time Undergraduate Programs in 2024
On the morning of May 8, 2024, National Economics University (NEU) held a briefing and training conference on admissions counseling for full-time undergraduate programs in 2024.

An overview of the conference
Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Trieu, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs; members of the Admissions Counseling Committee appointed under the President’s Decision; and members assigned by their units to provide counseling through the ORLABNEU window.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, speaks at the conference.
In recent years, NEU has achieved major success in admissions to its full-time undergraduate programs in terms of both the number and quality of students admitted. In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, emphasized the importance of admissions counseling for full-time undergraduate programs in 2024. He noted that the briefing and training conference on admissions counseling was particularly important and necessary for communicating the details and new features of the 2024 admissions process to all faculty, staff, and students throughout the University.
Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, also expressed his hope that the University’s faculty and staff would continue to work hard, remain united, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility to ensure the success of the 2024 admissions process.

Dr. Le Anh Duc, Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, provides information on admissions and admissions counseling events for full-time undergraduate programs in 2024.
At the training session, the University’s faculty and staff heard a representative of the leadership of the Department of Academic Affairs present an overview of admissions information for full-time undergraduate programs, new features of the admissions process, and key admissions counseling events for full-time undergraduate programs in 2024.
Accordingly, in 2024, NEU plans to admit approximately 6,995 students across 66 major/academic program codes, with 18% of places allocated to admission review based on high school graduation examination results, 80% to combined admission review under the University’s admissions plan, and 2% to direct admission under the Ministry’s regulations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Trieu, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, discusses issues and answers several questions at the conference.
Also at the conference, faculty and staff received training and guidance on using the ORLABNEU admissions counseling software for counselors. Each counselor for each major will be given an account, and the software will automatically assign conversations according to the counseling content for that major, giving applicants the opportunity to receive counseling and interact online with admissions counselors.
