On behalf of the University’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation from the Academy of Policy and Development to visit and work with NEU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho affirmed: “Over nearly 70 years of growth and development since its establishment, NEU has consistently maintained its standing, strengths, and quality in education and research in economics, management, and business administration. In fulfilling its responsibilities and mission, the University has always focused on improving the quality of education and scientific research, as well as advancing digital transformation to support its operations effectively, with the goal of becoming a smart university and a digital university.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho also emphasized that NEU is always ready to share its experience with other universities to jointly create practical value for learners and the community. He expressed confidence that the day’s discussions and exchange of experience would open up more opportunities for stronger cooperation, enabling the institutions to jointly advance digital transformation and contribute to improving the quality of education and training.

Dr. Giang Thanh Tung said that the Academy of Policy and Development has always recognized the importance of digital transformation, as affirmed in its development strategy with a vision to 2045. The strategy sets the goal of advancing digital transformation vigorously to become a smart university with a modern governance system and a strong international orientation. At present, however, the Academy faces many difficulties in implementing digital transformation due to a lack of experience and resources. Dr. Giang Thanh Tung therefore expressed his hope that NEU would share practical experience regarding its approach, processes, and the difficulties encountered during digital transformation, so that the Academy could gain further experience and apply it to its own digital transformation in the coming period.

At the meeting, leadership representatives of the two institutions and their functional units focused on exchanging experience in the digital transformation process, development directions, and the application of digital technology across their activities; approaches to and selection of priority areas for implementing digital transformation; the role and participation of institutional leaders and relevant units; and the results achieved and difficulties encountered. The two institutions also discussed future directions and solutions, along with valuable lessons learned from implementing digital transformation.
