Pursuant to Official Letter No. 65/HĐGSNN dated April 8, 2022, of the State Professorial Council on the schedule for reviewing and recognizing candidates as meeting the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2022;
Pursuant to Notice No. 03/HĐGSNKT dated September 9, 2022, on the meeting schedule for reviewing and recognizing candidates for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2022.
Having sought and obtained approval from the State Professorial Council, the Economics Professorial Council announces the following revisions to its schedule for reviewing applications for recognition as meeting the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2022:
1. Schedule of Council Meetings
a. First Meeting
- Dates: September 29–30, 2022.
- Venue: Building A1, NEU, 207 Giai Phong Road, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
- Agenda: Discuss and evaluate candidates’ applications, agree on appraisal results, and vote to approve the list of candidates eligible to present their research overview reports and undergo an assessment of their English communication proficiency.
b. Second Meeting:
- Dates: October 1–3, 2022.
- Schedule: Morning sessions begin at 8:00 a.m.; afternoon sessions begin at 2:00 p.m.
- Venue: Conference Room, Floor G, Building A1, NEU, 207 Giai Phong Road, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
- Agenda: Assess candidates’ research overview reports and English communication proficiency; the Council will discuss, and each Council member will record comments on the prescribed evaluation form for every candidate; the Council will vote on which candidates are eligible for inclusion on the list for a vote of confidence. The Council will conduct a vote of confidence.
c. Meeting Format: in person in the meeting room.
2. Preparation and Format for Research Overview Presentations and Foreign Language Assessment
- Candidates must prepare their overview reports in accordance with the State Professorial Council’s guidelines, print 16 copies (if presenting in person), and send bilingual English and Vietnamese PowerPoint files to Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Thuy, Administrative Secretary of the Council, at thuypp@neu.edu.vn before 2:00 p.m. on September 30, 2022.
- Candidates must present their research overview reports in English. Presentation time: 50 minutes for Professor candidates and 30 minutes for Associate Professor candidates.
- Information on the Council’s activities is published on NEU’s website at http: neu.edu.vn.
