Civic Orientation Week for new Cohort 66 students is organized into nine study groups covering six topics. Immediately after the opening ceremony, students will begin their first sessions on the University’s history and traditions; student management; rules and regulations related to academic programs; university-level study methods; and other topics.
Civic Orientation Week aims to help students gain a firm understanding of emerging issues of concern in the country’s political, economic, and social life, enabling them to apply this understanding creatively and appropriately to their studies at the University. It also raises students’ awareness of their rights, obligations, and responsibilities as citizens and students in implementing the Party’s orientations and guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and education sector regulations, meeting the objectives and requirements for students’ education and personal development. During Civic Orientation Week, new students will also receive guidance on accessing and using electronic resources as well as the University’s other academic support activities and services.
Civic Orientation Week combines in-person and online sessions organized by student group. Students are deemed to have completed Civic Orientation Week when they attend all sessions and complete the test. The program is scheduled to conclude on September 13, 2024.
