On behalf of NEU’s faculty and staff, MSc. Tran Quy Long, Deputy Head of the Department of Communications, warmly welcomed the teachers, parents, and students from Hanoi Star Inter-Level School’s Hoang Mai Campus to the University for the “A Day as a National Economics University Student” program.

MSc. Tran Quy Long, Deputy Head of the Department of Communications, noted that as demand for information among parents and students increases before each admissions cycle, universities also need a variety of approaches to attract students. MSc. Tran Quy Long said that giving high school students opportunities to experience the university learning environment is also an effective form of outreach widely used in many countries.

“Previously, we often provided information through traditional channels: visiting individual schools, posting updates on websites, or participating in events organized by other organizations. This meant universities overlooked students’ strong desire to visit the institutions they hope to attend in the future, experience them firsthand, and learn practical information about them.”

“In response to this demand, NEU regularly welcomes students for visits and experiential activities. After many years, these activities have proven highly effective. Most students show interest in and enthusiasm for the University. After the event, many draw motivation from the experience and set themselves a goal to work toward,” emphasized MSc. Tran Quy Long.

In addition to admissions counseling and career guidance, the program offered students firsthand experience of NEU students’ daily activities: the learning atmosphere in lecture halls and at the Pham Van Dong Library, visits to the University’s history room and rooftop garden, and more. During the program, students also explored fields of study such as business administration and banking and finance, and interacted directly with current university students.
