An Electrifying Series of Welcome Events for New Students at the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs

Building on the success of the D-Day student welcome program, the D-Day 2024 Welcome Gala Night took place on the evening of November 13, 2024, in Auditorium A2. The highlight was the King & Queen final, an annual competition associated with the series of welcome events for new students at the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs.

An overview of the program

Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc, Dean of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs; representatives of the leadership of schools, departments, faculties, institutes and centers; faculty members involved in managing and teaching the programs; and, notably, students in the advanced, high-quality, POHE and Business Analytics programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, delivers the opening remarks.

On behalf of the University leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong congratulated and welcomed the new students who had excelled in the entrance examination to officially become members of the AEP family.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, affirmed that the D-Day 2024 event series had succeeded in creating opportunities for and fostering AEP students’ artistic potential and talents, while providing students at National Economics University (NEU) in general and the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs in particular with a healthy, dynamic and creative recreational platform.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong expressed confidence that that evening’s King & Queen final would identify deserving new AEP Ambassadors who would participate in all of the Institute’s programs and activities, thereby helping promote the image of AEP students, as well as NEU students, as well-rounded individuals who excel in every respect.

Building on the resounding success of previous editions, D-Day 2024 offered a unique, fresh platform on a larger scale than ever before for young people wishing to showcase their artistic talents without limits. With the professionalism and enthusiasm of members of the GYC Young Generation Club, D-Day 2024 demonstrated the creativity, professionalism and passion of AEP youth, from event organization to the contestants’ rehearsals and competition performances.

The D-Day 2024 welcome event series for new students was launched and carried out with great energy and meticulous preparation over more than a month. Featuring Teambuilding Day on October 27, the program received an enthusiastic response from a large number of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs’ new Cohort 66 students, who brought a spirited sense of youthful passion. It also attracted more than 75 individual contestants and pairs registering for the King & Queen competition, part of the D-Day 2024 welcome event series.

Aiming to identify outstanding candidates for the role of AEP Ambassador, the annual King & Queen competition has consistently made an impact as a major platform offering new students the opportunity to fully express their individuality and personalities. At the final, six entries, comprising individuals and pairs, delivered six electrifying performances, making their own distinctive mark in keeping with the message of the D-Day 2024 event series.

The King & Queen 2024 competition identified the most deserving recipients of each award.

With its distinctive character and striking theme, “Distant Hues,” the D-Day 2024 gala opened up a “New Horizon” where new students could freely explore and learn. University marks a turning point in each person’s life—a time to change, move beyond personal limits and mature in order to independently explore new horizons, seek out and create meaningful values of their own. Its message was: “Shine with every step forward, strive to develop both beauty and talent, and make your own mark on the journey ahead.”

It is hoped that the program will help new students understand the core values that have shaped and continue to shape generations of AEP students: dynamism, creativity, youthfulness and enthusiasm. It is also hoped that D-Day 2024 will become a treasured memory for the students who participated.
