Assoc. Throughout its history, NEU has educated many of the country’s leaders and talented business executives, making a substantial contribution to the country’s development during its international integration.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong also noted that NEU’s lecturers not only possess outstanding expertise, demonstrated through their research and awards, but also show dedication to their students. In addition, the University’s academic programs are among the most up-to-date and advanced. NEU is one of the first universities in Vietnam to complete FIBAA’s quality accreditation process, with 100% of criteria meeting or exceeding standards. NEU is also the only public university to date to have 18 of its 60 academic programs accredited by the U.S. accreditation organization ACBSP. The University has also officially begun the process of becoming a member of AACSB, a prestigious global accreditation organization, with only 1% of business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB.
Speaking with the students, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong noted that many outstanding students from Chi Linh High School, Hai Duong, had enrolled at NEU and that all had secured very good positions after graduation. This demonstrates the many strong ties between the two institutions and shows that NEU has always been a trusted destination for Chi Linh High School students.

The program featured activities including an overview of the University, advice on its fields of study, and admissions information; a taste of life as a university student and a firsthand tour of its welcoming, modern learning spaces; and visits to the rooftop garden, Pham Van Dong Library, and the World Bank-funded electronic library shared by 45 universities across the country. In particular, students experienced a day of student life in the learning and living spaces of NEU, an institution with a history spanning nearly 70 years.
The “Future Orientation – Hands-on Experience” program helped high school students better understand the dynamic university environment and life as a university student. It also equipped them with useful admissions information and advice on choosing fields of study and careers suited to them.
This was also an opportunity for them to gain further experience of student life and learning in university lecture halls—something they had never experienced before—to help them feel as prepared as possible to enter university and become university students.
