On September 21, 2026, at the National Economics University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Trung Thanh – Vice President of the University, welcomed the delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, led by Prof. Mark Harvey – Deputy Vice-Chancellor for International Development.

From the National Economics University were Dr. Dao Thanh Tung – Head of the International Collaboration Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh – Director of the Institute of International Education; along with representatives of the leadership of various units, staff, and faculty members of the University.

On behalf of the University’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Trung Thanh welcomed Prof. Mark Harvey and Assoc. Prof. Elliroma Gardiner to visit and work at the National Economics University. The meeting was an opportunity for both sides to discuss potential areas of collaboration that could be further promoted in the future, based on the needs and strengths of each university.

In the field of education, both parties expressed interest in promoting student and learner exchange programs between NEU and QUT. The expansion of learning opportunities at each university is expected to help students access an international educational environment, enhance academic experiences, and contribute to increased interaction between students and learners from both sides.

Research collaboration was also identified as an area that needs further promotion. Both sides wish to expand connections among faculty members and scientists, facilitating the development of joint research activities and academic exchanges based on the strengths of NEU and QUT.
