Attending the program were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – Party Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong – President of the University; Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – Chairman of the Economics Professorial Council, former President of the University; along with representatives of the leadership from Schools, Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers within and affiliated with the University; faculty members and, notably, a large number of parents and students from across the country participating in NEU Open Day 2026.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong – President of National Economics University speaks

In his opening speech at the festival, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong – President of National Economics University warmly welcomed distinguished guests, esteemed faculty, especially parents and students who took the time to attend the NEU Open Day 2026 event at National Economics University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong stated that recently, the University has implemented a variety of admissions counseling activities to accompany students in choosing their fields of study and orienting their future, from the program “A Day as an NEU Student” which attracted a large number of students, to livestream sessions providing online admissions information.

According to the University President, as students stand at the threshold of the high school graduation exam and university selection, the question “Who am I, who will I become, and what career will I pursue” is always a significant concern, as this decision greatly impacts their future and development journey.

Through the 2026 Admissions and Career Counseling Festival, the University commits to accompany, share, and address inquiries with candidates and parents. This aims to help students make informed and suitable choices regarding their fields of study.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong highlighted the decisive factors for success in choosing a field of study. At this critical “final stretch” moment, candidates should first consider selecting a field based on their passion, capabilities, and especially the demands of the labor market.

The University President emphasized that the labor market is constantly evolving, and fields that are promising now may be replaced in the future. Therefore, the key for each candidate is adaptability and lifelong learning. Based on their desired field of study, students should choose reputable and suitable educational institutions, seek opportunities to be equipped with methods, critical thinking skills, and adaptability to aspire and have the courage to rise above any circumstance.

Dr. Le Anh Duc – Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, National Economics University shares insights and addresses queries during the program

Informing parents and students, Dr. Le Anh Duc – Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, National Economics University stated that a major can include multiple programs, such as standard programs taught in Vietnamese or specialized programs taught in English…

Therefore, when making a choice, parents and students should pay attention to both the program name and the major to clearly understand the type of degree they will receive. Although programs may differ in specialization or language of instruction, students will still be ensured a foundational knowledge base in their field.

Also at the event, parents and students received answers to their concerns regarding regular university admissions, the majors, academic programs for 2026, career orientation, and study prospects at National Economics University.

Representatives from the leadership of various units exchanged and addressed queries for parents and students attending the event

Representatives from the Admissions Advisory Board also advised candidates to proactively grasp and explore the admissions materials of National Economics University for 2026 as published by the university, to avoid missing important information. This serves as a basis for them to make informed and appropriate decisions regarding their aspirations, maximizing their opportunities.

Additionally, the University has introduced several innovative updates to enhance the effectiveness of the admissions process, such as developing the NEU admissions app and launching an admissions advisory account on the social media platform TikTok. This provides candidates and parents with more opportunities to stay updated on the university’s admissions information.

Furthermore, the university continues to apply an AI system integrated with various prominent advisory functions, supporting candidates throughout the process from pre-exam preparation to checking exam scores, selecting admission combinations, and choosing majors.
