On the morning of July 1, 2025, National Economics University (NEU), in coordination with VinUni University – VinAcademy Education and Training Company Limited, awarded 52 Vingroup–National Economics University Companion Scholarships to nurture students with outstanding achievements in academics and scientific research and strong results in academic competitions.

Nguyen Hoang Ha, Head of the Department of Political Affairs and Student Management; representatives of the leadership of colleges, departments, faculties, schools, institutes, centers, and socio-political organizations; representatives of the unit managing and implementing the Vingroup Companion Scholarship Program; and, in particular, the outstanding students receiving scholarships.

The Vingroup Companion Scholarship is the result of cooperation between NEU and VinAcademy Company Limited, a subsidiary of Vingroup. This systematic scholarship funding program provides support over multiple consecutive years to identify, nurture, and develop talent, particularly students from disadvantaged backgrounds who strive to overcome difficulties, demonstrate a sense of responsibility toward the community, and show potential to contribute to the country.

Over the years, VinUni University/VinAcademy Education and Training Company Limited and NEU have cooperated in numerous areas, including education, research, and recruitment. These efforts include a scholarship program for talented NEU students that has attracted considerable interest from students.

In 2023, VinAcademy Education and Training Company Limited signed an agreement with the University to fund a scholarship program called the “Vingroup–National Economics University Companion Scholarship.” The program’s selection criteria include outstanding academic achievement and a passion for scientific research. The program gives priority to female applicants and students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate determination to excel in their studies.

Following selection rounds and interviews, the Vingroup–National Economics University (NEU) Companion Scholarship Program selects 20 students each year to receive scholarships worth VND 25 million each. This year marks the third year that the scholarships have been awarded to NEU students, with 20 newly selected students and 32 recipients from the previous academic year who maintained their academic performance and scientific research activities and therefore continue to receive scholarships. Thus, a total of 52 students received scholarships, with total scholarship funding of VND 1 billion 300 million.
