The 2024 National Golf Tournament for NEU Alumni – NEU Golf Championship 2024 aims to foster interaction and expand connections among the University’s alumni across generations and programs and golf enthusiasts nationwide, and to promote the growth of NEU Golf. The guiding principle, consistent from the first season through the seventh, is: Connection – Cooperation – Sharing – Success.

Golfer Tran Ngoc Tan, an alumnus of the Faculty of Marketing’s 51st cohort, delivered an outstanding performance to beat 280 “veterans” and win the NEU Golf Championship 2024.
After a day of spirited and intense competition, golfer Tran Ngoc Tan, an alumnus of the Faculty of Marketing’s 51st cohort, delivered an outstanding performance to beat 280 “veterans” and win the NEU Golf Championship 2024 with 77 strokes. Delighted with his victory, golfer Tran Ngoc Tan shared: “This is my third time competing in the NEU Golf Championship, and I feel very fortunate to have achieved a good result and won the championship. This is a large-scale tournament that builds strong connections and has tremendous reach within the NEU Golf community. The tournament takes place only once a year, but my fellow golfers and I always try to register early and eagerly look forward to participating so that we can meet, connect, and learn from one another, while sharing fond memories of our beloved NEU. I will certainly continue supporting the tournament in the coming years, and I wish the NEU Golf Championship even greater success in future seasons.”

Nguyen Tuan Luong, President of the NEU Golf Club, speaks at the event.
Speaking at the tournament, Nguyen Tuan Luong, President of the NEU Golf Club, shared: “As it does every March, NEU Golf is once again organizing the 2024 National Golf Tournament for NEU Alumni. I believe this is one of the most prestigious tournaments we have built together. After seven years, it still feels new to me, and each passing day still brings anticipation and concern for the tournament.
I believe that NEU Golf’s distinctive character will become richer each day, and our organization will continue to grow stronger. We have also seen natural growth in the number of NEU Golf golfers, with our community gaining 40–50 golfers each year. We have every right to be proud of what we have accomplished. The Executive Board and I are always proud to join hands in supporting the tournament and the NEU Golf community. Once again, my sincere thanks go to the sponsors and the 280 golfers here today. We share something that no other club has: a common DNA that allows us to recognize one another wherever we go. That is what sets us apart,” Nguyen Tuan Luong emphasized.
By the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee had raised more than VND 600 million from groups and individuals for disadvantaged students striving to overcome hardship. Contributions were as follows: GGC, VND 50 million; K++, VND 304 million; K35, VND 50 million; K36, VND 30 million; K37, VND 20 million; KMN, VND 50 million; University of Architecture, VND 50 million; K39, VND 20 million; and K41+, VND 50 million. This practical initiative brought together NEU Golf members from the North and South, reflecting their desire to contribute, extend their impact, and share more with the community.
